What we collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and the name you give us. As you use SalesBird we store your favourite brands, the items you watch, the stores you track, who you're shopping for, your postcode if you turn on Swoop mode, and which product links you click. If you report a problem we keep what you wrote and any screenshot you attach. We also count searches that returned nothing, as words only, so we know which stores to chase — never tied to you. We don't collect payment details — purchases happen on the retailer's own site, never on SalesBird.
How we use it
To show you relevant sales, and to send the emails you asked for: sign-in links, sale digests, and alerts on items you watch. We only email addresses that have been verified by clicking a sign-in link, and every digest and alert includes a one-click unsubscribe that works without signing in.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information and we don't share it with retailers. Product links are plain links straight to the store — they carry no identity, and SalesBird earns nothing from them.
Community profiles (The Flock)
Joining the community is optional. If you opt in, your chosen @handle, avatar, posts, reactions and follows are visible to other signed-in members — your real name and email are never shown. There is no member directory: others can only find you by the exact handle you give them, and you can set your profile to private so only approved followers see your posts. Your watchlist (the Nest) is always private. Community profiles aren't indexed by search engines. Deactivating your profile hides your posts immediately.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, such as light or dark mode and who you're shopping for. We don't use them for advertising, and we don't track you across other websites.
Who can use SalesBird
You need to be at least 13 to create an account. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger — if you believe a child has created an account, email admin@salesbird.com.au and we'll remove it.
Access and deletion
You can see and change everything we hold about you from your account. To have your account and data deleted, email admin@salesbird.com.au and we'll action it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
